HanseCamping,
is a five star, modern campground with spacious pitches.
From here you can easily get to the centre of Bremen, either by bike or by public transport – nevertheless you’re still in a beautiful green environment.
These contrasts are characteristic for the cityscape of Bremen and make it so attractive. On the one hand Bremen is a large city (the tenth largest in Germany) and on the other hand it is also a very idyllic town.
Influenced by maritime trade the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen also
offers many historical and architectural highlights:
The world heritage site „Bremen Town Hall” with its unique and interesting façade…
The “Bremen Town Musicians” (touching the hooves is said to bring good fortune)…
The “Böttcherstraße”, still influenced by the shipping industry, with a wonderful "glockenspiel"…
The “Bremer Ratskeller”, an old, beautifully restored vaulted cellar with wine treasures from past centuries…
The “Schnoor”, a quarter that preserves a medieval character with its narrow lanes and tiny houses…
The “Bremer Roland”, a statue in front of the town hall with its eventful history …
The “Bremer Dom” (cathedral) that literally has corpses in the cellar (“Lead Cellar”) …
…and many more – mentioning them all would go beyond the scope of this listing!
If you don’t want to visit the centre of Bremen, there’s still a lot to discover in the vicinity of HanseCamping:
Just around the corner, within walking distance from the campground you’ll find the “Universe Science Center” which offers its visitors exciting impressions and experiments from the world of science. It is always worth a visit – not only on rainy days.
If you prefer to swim for a while you can do so in the „Stadtwaldsee“
(inhabitants of Bremen call it “Unisee”) – the lake is virtually at your front door.
On the beach you will find a large non-swimmer area, a playground with climbing devices for the kids and a separate nude area.
During the season the lake is supervised by the DLRG.
You want to be active in sports? No problem!
You will find a diving school “Pits Tauchbasis” next to the campground.
From trial and crash courses up to professional excursions if offers anything that makes the divers heart beat faster.
If you like to move in the open air, there is a fitness trail on the opposite side of the lake.
And if you want to relax after an eventful, exciting day – why not just take a walk around the lake (“um’m Pudding” as they say here). The trail is 1.6 miles long and partially leads through the woods. It is also perfect for jogging or nordic walking.
By then you have definitely done enough for the day – now let yourself be pampered in our restaurant by the lake “Il Lago”. Try its international cuisine with selected ingredients. Perhaps you want to try “Kohl & Pinkel”, a traditional Bremen winter dish?
Then you can make yourself comfortable inside your own four walls on our five star campground – on generously portioned pitches that have their own water and electricity (16A) supply.
The modern, centrally located sanitary building offers much space for everything concerning care and hygiene.
Here you will find a big kitchen, a cosy lounge with a trading library as well as coin laundromats and dryers for your conveniance.
Should you have any questions, please contact the reception desk at opening hours. There the staff (“waschechte Bremer”) will gladly answer your questions concerning Bremen or HanseCamping.
(And in case you’re interested they will also tell you what “waschechte Bremer” means…)
Starting with the season’s opening in March you will be able to buy food (i.e. rolls),camping products (i.e. gas) and souvenirs at the kiosk in the reception building.
We are looking forward to meeting you on our campground and wish you a pleasant stay!
See you soon
